Wessex Speakers is a Winchester based public speaking club and is affiliated to Toastmasters International.
If you would like to find your speaking voice, develop your public speaking skills and perhaps learn some leadership skills along the way … you have come to the right place.

Toastmasters International is a non-profit educational organization that teaches public speaking and leadership skills through a worldwide network of clubs. The organisation’s membership exceeds 358,000 in more than 16,200 clubs in 143 countries. Since 1924, Toastmasters International has helped people from diverse backgrounds become more confident speakers, communicators, and leaders.
Wessex Speakers is a friendly and welcoming club that was established in 1997. The club has a long tradition of helping members to fulfil their potential, offering mentoring and support as required to encourage personal and professional development. The club meets on the second and fourth Wednesday of each month; members arrive from 7:15 pm for a prompt 7:30 pm start and meetings generally finish around 9:30 – 9:45 pm depending on the number of speakers. The club meets at the Winchester Racquets and Fitness Club which is an excellent facility with a bar.

Pathways is the name of Toastmasters International’s educational programme that we use in our club. As the foundation of your Toastmasters experience, Pathways is designed to help you build the competencies you need to communicate and lead.
There are eleven unique learning paths. Each path is divided into five levels that build in complexity. The levels help you build on and apply what you have learned.
