Having a number of people involved in the running of the Club helps to ensure that no-one ends up doing everything and that no individual role is too onerous.
Chris Rees – President
The president, as the chair of our club is responsible for providing the supportive club environment members need to fulfill their self-development goals, for making sure that members benefit from the Toastmasters educational programme and that the club recruits new members and retains current ones.
Steve Vear – Immediate Past President
The President from the previous year also sits on the new committee for a further year.
The reason for this is quite straight forward; having had the experience of being President, it’s generally seen as good practice to be there to help, advise and support the incoming President.
The President role was filled by Steve Vear. Known affectionally as El Presidente, Steve did a fabulous job as President and is a great asset to the team.
Janet Butler – Vice President Education
The Vice President education, is responsible for providing and maintaining the positive environment and the educational programmes through which members can learn and grow.
